


Frankly, they're not as interesting to roam around with.

The new characters just can't replace the ones you spent so many hours with. (Actually, one of them isn't new, he's just a guy from the main game I didn't care about much.) This is perhaps one of the biggest letdowns about Awakening, which does all the basics exactly right. When Awakening, the first proper expansion in what will likely be a long list of new material for BioWare's epic RPG, kicks off, you've got a load of new people wandering around with you. Spending a Long time with a group of characters to push my rogue archer to the end of the main Dragon Age game, meant I got to become familiar with them.
